Brown Waterhole is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It is where Terrys Creek joins the Lane Cove River in the Lane Cove National Park & it’s a hot spot for wildlife. There is a bench & table there for you to take a break from your walk & take in the surroundings. Here is a collage of photographs taken by Jenny recently.

Terrys Creek embankments in the area of Vimiera & Forrester Park finally get the attention they need & thoroughly deserve. It has been a long time coming but should stand the test of time & ravages of stormwater surges. Thanks go to the natural areas of Ryde & Hornsby Councils.
Wonder down from the ridgetops into the gully/rainforest vegetation & you will notice a big drop in temperature. No need to worry about the privets here, the dense canopies providing the necessary shade to cool wildlife.
Have you ever wondered what you could do to help improve your local environment & the plight of native wildlife? A small commitment of a few hours per year could make a big difference. Presently there are several volunteer bushcare groups working to restore the bushland along Terry Creek. Why not join in to help them?
Looking forward to finding Grey Goshawk chicks this spring. Jenny spotted this nesting mother in TC recently.
These Eastern Rosella nestlings lost their home during land clearing. Thankfully the actions of the excavator operator with the cooperation of Wires volunteers, a handmade nestbox & dedicated parents patiently waiting their return, a happy outcome was finally achieved
